Product Introduction

A backing bearing is a rolling bearing with a particularly thick outer ring, which is installed in groups on a stationary shaft as a support roller during use. The pressure on the work roll is transmitted to the support roll through the intermediate roll and to the frame through the saddle system. It is generally used on multi roll cold rolling mill equipment and can also be used in other occasions, such as straightening machines.

The backing bearing is a multi column cylindrical roller bearing, which requires very high precision, especially the cross-sectional height (T value) from the inner diameter to the outer diameter after eliminating radial clearance. On each shaft, the T value is controlled within 0.005mm, which requires high precision of the bearing parts.

Backed bearings are specifically designed for multi roll thin plate rolling mills, used for rolling cold-rolled silicon steel sheets for the power industry, high-quality thin plates for the automotive industry, coated plates, and stainless steel plates with high technical added value. This type of bearing is directly used as a support rod, and its outer diameter thickness is much larger than that of ordinary bearings in terms of structure. The radial runout of the outer diameter and the difference in wall thickness size after assembly are extremely small. The rated dynamic load of bearings is relatively high, and they can rotate with high precision under heavy loads.
